We introduced our own Western-style management methods and key technology to our joint-venture partners in order to eliminate some technical and management gaps we identified early on as common in Asia. For example, we installed our own certified toolsteel stress-relieving equipment in our China toolshop after we identified stress-relieving as one of the major gaps in China's toolmaking capability. AM's Taipei tooling engineer Patrick McGrath personally oversees all post-roughing stress-relieving of toolsteel there. |
